James Dace & Son Ltd is a well-established family run music business based in Chelmsford, Essex.
We can proudly say that we are one of the oldest music shops in the country, opening our doors in Chelmsford in 1852, where we have had a shop ever since. James Dace(Pianos)Ltd is now based in Colchester and can be reached on 01206 791935.
A local musician and well-established teacher, James Dace started the shop in 1852. The first shop was in London Road. We are still based in Chelmsford and are now located at 22 Broomfield Road, where we continue to be an established part of the local community.
We have one of the largest stocks of sheet music in the south east region and are fully stocked with classical, vocal scores, folk, jazz, blues, contemporary and popular music, along with a wide selection of educational publications, examination books and papers
